night and day

Did you know that every planet in our solar system rotates on a tilted axis and therefor has seasons and equinoxes? equini? equinoctes? It’s true. Saturn’s equinox occurs every 15 years - which means that the winter on Saturn is seven and a half years long. Our winter is three months long. This is me trying not to pout about the end of summer.

And? I’m knitting this scarf. It is ample and cozy and I am looking forward to wrapping it twelve times around myself on the bitterest, most frozen winter day. Which? Is likely to occur in Northern California never and just about when my scarf will be finished.

Meanwhile, it is 88 degrees today. XO.
